CAMAR- THE SEAGULL

In the end of 2007, theatre teacher Corrina Manara departed for Yogjakarta to work with Theatre Garasi. Within this cooperation, renamed Arts Laboratory, Corina and Indonesian artists researched new forms of theatre in which the various cultures and backgrounds are recognized.
After an orientation period, she gave a series of workshops. In these workshops, she worked from improvisation with the clown. Moreover, they worked on text improvisation, based on scenes from the Seagull by Chekhov. They gave the theatre performance CAMAR, based on the text improvisations, in April and May 2008 in the Erasmus House in Jakarta and other places.
