Tambo Tambo Tambulani (TTT) is a small theatre located in northern Mozambique in a traditional community. The group is working for the preservation of cultural expressions and rituals, through workshops and performances. In addition, they operate in the field of social educational theatre. Information about the spread of disease, hygiene and other social issues through theatre is, according to TTT, essential in the Mozambican society. Under the leadership of the esteemed author Pedro Malavo and the professional actor/director Vitor Raposo, TTT works a lot with children and young people. The community appreciates the efforts and projects of TTT very much. Since the construction of a cultural centre, TTT is an indispensable factor in the community.
Cooperation between Theatre Embassy and Tambo Tambo Tambulani began in 2007. Actress Ibelisse Guardia, of Bolivian/Brazilian origin, gave a mime workshop to the actors of TTT. In 2009, a sequel is planned.
