AMRITA Performing Arts is an international NGO that is dedicated to preserving and promoting all forms of traditional Cambodian performing arts. A special emphasis lies on national capacity building in theatre management and administration. Amrita functions as an independent production house of traditional and classical performances, but is also active in setting up workshops, international exchanges and tours.
The first project with Amrita started in the beginning of 2009. The cooperation between Theatre Embassy and Amrita formed with the theme of reconciliation, and was led by the renowned Dutch theatre maker Annemarie Prins and director Nan van Houte.
