DUTCH MINISTER VISITS TIERRA
On the 7th of February, the Copusquia community in Bolivia presented dances and costumes from the cultural project Tierra Espiritual to the Dutch Minister for Development Cooperation, Mr. Koenders. For the occasion, more than 30 Bolivian dancers travelled to the capitol, La Paz, where they performed important dances for seedtime.
In Gota de Aqua, the heart of the city, the dancers proudly presented the results of the first year of Tierra Espiritual. The group even managed to convince the minister to dance with one of the women of the company. Doris Mamani, coordinator of the project, spoke with the minister who said: "Cultural development in the villages is important in order to maintain diversity in the world."
